IBT's FTP Server Access
In increasing numbers, we are receiving jobs via electronic
transmission either via email or our ftp site. However, there are distinct
advantages to using the FTP site instead of email. We would like to encourage
our customers to use the FTP site whenever possible. Advantages of using the FTP
site include: transmission is better than email and corrupt files are less
likely to occur, multiple files can be added to a single folder rather than
having multiple emails, successful FTP transfer is confirmed upon completion,
and software necessary for FTP transactions is available for free. The
disadvantages of email include a greater chance of file corruption, size limits
imposed my many email servers or services, and a file that has been emailed to a
single individual must then be resent to the appropriate department at IBT,
further increasing the chance of error.
If you are sending files for IBT to process, you may utilize your preferred
FTP client software such as CuteFTP, Filezilla, FETCH or Windows Explorer (not
internet explorer). From Here you have two
options:
1. Use our public folder by proceeding to hostname
ftp.ibtglobal.biz or
ftp.integratedbook.com , with a
login of ibtcustomer, and a password of account. You will be able to view the
contents of the folder and all subfolders, create folders, and upload files.
This option does not allow for retrieval or viewing of files by you.
2. Contact your customer service rep and have a private account created. Folders
and subfolders and files can be managed by you. You also have the ability to
retrieve files with this option. Proceed to hostname
ftp.ibtglobal.biz or
ftp.integratedbook.com with a
login and the password provided by your customer service rep.
Please Note: Due to the variance in computer operating systems,
networks and internet service providers, IBT will only provide limited support
for Windows 2000, XP, Vista Business, Mac OS9 and X and Linux. IBT does
not recommend the use of Windows XP Home, or Vista Home editions.
